Marketing
Companies marketing to kids isn't really as bad as people make it sound. Kids are a huge part of who buys toys, cereal, games, and clothes, so it honestly makes sense that businesses would advertise to them the same way they advertise to adults. At the end of the day, parents are still the ones with the money and the final say, so it's not like a commercial can force anyone to buy something. If a parent doesn't want their kid to have a certain toy or snack, they can just say no, and that's how it's always worked. Marketing to kids can even be a good thing in a lot of cases, like when companies advertise healthy snacks, educational toys, books, or fun ways for kids to stay active instead of sitting on a screen all day. Advertising is also just part of how the economy works, and those companies create jobs and pay people, so it's not fair to treat every business like the bad guy. Kids are surrounded by ads everywhere anyway, whether it's TV, YouTube, or stuff their friends have, so banning companies from advertising to them wouldn't really fix anything or change how the world actually works. As long as the ads are honest and aren't straight up lying or tricking people, it's just normal business doing what business does.
