Score doesn’t reflect smart

I do not think colleges should require standardized testing because the scores do not in any way reflect a student's capabilities. It does not show any personal qualities, which I believe are more valuable to one’s college admission profile. A test represents, at most, only a year of studying. It won’t show any leadership or personal challenges a student may have faced. Also, some students have access to private tutors, prep classes, and the ability to afford chances to take the exam, while others do not. This factor ultimately leads to an unfair economic advantage. A student's transcript is able to represent more than a number. It shows 4+ years of grades, extracurriculars, and growth, giving admissions officers a better view of the whole person than a single year could.
